Volunteering Experiences

On Wednesday i set off to help a charity unload the food vans for their soup kitchen. The charity is ran from a huge church in Lawrence and houses up to 70 men over a 6 month period. They serve food every lunchtime to residents and non except wed when they receive the food delivery.

The charity was very impressive in what it does and who they support! I didn't feel i really contributed much to the unloading of the van mainly because the men took over. However I will come back next week to help out with the cooking and the serving.
